Infiniti will be coming down to Australia

We’re excited to hear that officials at Nissan have announced that by September 2012, we can expect to see the Infiniti brand present and active in Australia! Infiniti is essentially the flagship line of the Nissan brand, and is bringing three dealerships to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Along with the dealerships, Infiniti will be introducing three models, the sexy G37 coupe AND convertible, the M sedan and the FX crossover.
Apart from the Japanese market enthusiasts, many Australian’s who aren’t too familiar with the brand may be surprised to know that they have ties with Mark Webber!
The Infiniti FX is quite popular in the states, and will be released next year. It will be running a 5 litre V8! Although a 3.5 litre V6 will also be available

The M sedan will be coming down to Australia (VIP potential anyone?), but the engine it will be available with has not been confirmed.

The only Infiniti G related cars we’ve seen on the Australian streets would have to be the Nissan V35 (Infiniti G35) and the newer/rarer V36 (G37) which have all been grey imports from Japan. The G37’s coming to Australia will have the same engine in the 370z; a 3.7litre V6 which produces 246kw. It will be a sight to see such handsome looking G37’s rolling around Sydney more often.
