Distinctive design, signature technology
For the Ford Taurus SHO, subtle differentiation from other members of the family started in front of Taurus, with a grille inspired performance in a black mesh – is unique to Sho – flanked by a series of special high-intensity discharge lamps. The new Taurus SHO drivetrain continues to use the 3.5-liter V6 and the award-winning fuel-efficient EcoBoost, delivering 365 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to a six-speed transmission capacity 6F55 SelectShift ™ Automatic.
Steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters allow Ford Taurus SHO to match revs for a smooth, fast, downshifts manually selected. For the new model, it has to be reconfigured for more intuitive operation, with one paddle for upshifts and the other to create a smooth, matched-rev downshifts.
Sho dynamics has been enhanced with larger brakes, torque vectoring control – use a bit of braking to provide a limited-slip differential effect – and unique sport-tuned suspension.
