Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden were greeted with snow, fans and a frenetic media welcome upon their arrival Monday evening for the twenty-second edition of the Wrooom Press Ski Meeting. The two attended a meet and greet session alongside Scuderia Ferrari drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa as they posed for photographs in front of the waiting press.
Rossi and Hayden day two wrooom 2012Tuesday morning the pair participated in a press conference and interviews where they reflected on 2011, shared their thoughts about the return to 1000cc capacity bikes and spoke about their expectations and goals for the upcoming 2012 season.
For the injured Nicky Hayden, his first goal is to be ready for the first test in Malaysia, after which he claims the 2012 season "will be a big year for me. We have new rules and new bikes and I believe in this team. I think we can have a good season and I am looking forward to it".
Rossi was somewhat more subtle with his enthusiasm, claiming "the bike will be very different from the GP11, so it will be impossible to be competitive from first test. We will work on getting information to be ready for the first race". The Italian remains committed to Ducati however, stating that he would like to remain with the team for at least two more years adding "I would like help Ducati achieve something".
