Suzuki GSX-R1000, 2012, More Powerful and Lightweight

Suzuki GSX-R1000-2012 version will be introduced at the EICMA Milan Motorcycle Showcertainly comes with various improvements. This update is a breakthrough after finalcompletion in 2009 ago.


As in the release of motorcycle, there are three main things new. The first machine, thenthe wiring harness and lastly there is the weight reduction. Suzuki claimed the total weight of the GSX-R1000 2012 version is lighter up to 2 kilograms.


In the engine, the piston pin with Suzuki MotoGP technology. This piston up to 11 percentlighter than the old piston wore. Cam followers are used also 2.5 grams lighter with a smaller overlap.


To be more forceful, Suzuki also increase compression. From 12,8:1 so 12,9:1. This change is also accompanied with an exhaust configuration application back to the earlyformation of, 4-2-1. This exhaust is also made of thin stanless make it lighter.
The results are manufacturer based in Hamamatsu, Japan is claiming 8 percent greaterstrength but with a fixed fuel consumption saving.


The front suspension uses Showa Big Piston fixed but now gives a chance shorter 7 mm.Stroke is also reduced to 5 mm. Moderate rear suspension is also new but still usingShowa products.


Sector Brembo monoblock brake calipers are supported which can also reduce weightbecause it is lighter. And in appearance, striking difference is only in the position of waterram on the front fairing is slightly changed.
