Super GT R35 GTR Race in Super GT series 2011

At the 2011 Motor Sport Japan festival, S Road MOLA had their GT-500, SUGO pole and podium winning Super GT car on display.  JDM Clips was able to get up close and personal with the GT machine – click past the break for more shots.

Although the R35 chassis garnered extreme success in the 2011 Super GT series, this particular car had a somewhat lackluster season.

It often ended mid-pack when it finished it’s last lap.  That all changed at the SUGO race – where pilots Masataka Yanagida and Ronnie Quintarelli took a dominating pole and went on to lead the entire race to finish 1st.

By far, my favorite piece of work on this car is the front fenders.  The ‘fish gill’ style fender work is amazing.

Not to mention how the exhaust blasts right out behind the front wheels.
